Welcome to Sydenham Garden
Sydenham Garden is a community charity, providing gardening, nature conservation and creative opportunitiesfor the well-being of local residents and in particular those with health problems.
We provide a place where people can gain confidence and self-esteem through work and community. We offer training opportunities in areas of horticulture, conservation and arts & crafts, increasing the skills and future employability of our users.
We use part of a nature reserve to create a community garden with gardening and creative working space. Referred clients, known as co-workers, work alongside regular volunteers and trained staff. The centre and nature reserve is for the whole community, but will particularly help those coping with ill health.
Our volunteers and co-workers help in managing the reserve and in planning and planting our garden. Creative work, crafts and plants are also sold to the public.
