Jobs & Volunteering Roles

Jobs & Volunteering Roles

Below is a selection of paid jobs and volunteering roles currently available at Sydenham Garden.

Volunteer applications are open, for further details of each volunteering role please use the links below.

If you would like to apply for one of the volunteering roles listed please complete our online Application and Equality & Diversity Monitoring form.

Our mission is to improve the lives of local people coping with or recovering from mental or physical ill-health. We have a dedicated team who are vital to making this happen as well as ensuring our continued success.

What it is like to work here

We think Sydenham Garden is a great place to work. The garden itself is beautiful, especially in the summer months, and we are all committed to delivering the mission of the charity for local people. We are continuously striving to improve our work, so it is always busy, but there is a fantastic sense of teamwork, with staff and volunteers working together to get things done.

Everyone who works here has a voice and a stake in the charity’s work and progress.

Developing talent

We are fully committed to providing training and development opportunities for all our team, staff and volunteers alike, and to promoting a culture of lifelong learning.

Aside from our Support Volunteer roles, we also sometimes have home and office-based volunteering opportunities, which offer the chance to make a difference, develop your skills, and meet interesting and inspiring people from all walks of life.

You could also consider applying to be a Trustee. Our trustees are elected by rotation, and therefore we are always interested in meeting prospective Trustees. Please do get in touch if you are interested in becoming one.

Under 18 Volunteering / Work Experience

Unfortunately, we’re not currently in a position to offer individual volunteering opportunities or work experience to Under 18s, for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or for other purposes.
