We plan to develop the site into a sustainable social enterprise that will benefit both our co-workers and the local community

Our Social Enterprise Plans

De Frene Road allotments

We have recently secured a 999-year lease for the De Frene Road Allotment site, a one acre site designated for horticultural use.

As well as using this space for continuing our therapeutic gardening, personal development and training work, we plan to develop the site into a sustainable social enterprise that will benefit both our co-workers and the local community.

We have already carried out a feasibility study, local market research and also successful test trading of locally grown fresh organic produce.

As a result, we now have a viable three-year business plan in place.

We will be working hard over the coming months to make the site more accessible, develop the site's facilities and growing areas in order to get our market garden off the ground!

Capital Growth - East London* have already kindly awarded a grant of £3300 towards the cost of a Habitat & Reptile Survey, which will help inform our nature conservation, site clearance and produce growing plans for the site.

We are also extremely grateful to our loyal supporters who have generously donated over £3000 to help pay for the site lease.
