Jennie holds an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management and has a wealth of management, leadership, fundraising, enterprise and project development skills and knowledge gained from 10 years' experience in the voluntary sector, including previous roles as Enterprise Manager for Groundwork and Development Manager at Trees for Cities
Following a successful teaching career, Catherine joined us from Hammersmith Community Gardens Association. Catherine holds a Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Horticulture from the RHA and has considerable experience and knowledge in therapeutic horticulture/mental wellbeing programmes.
Katie and Daniela are currently jobsharing this important role at Sydenham Garden, which focuses on introducing new co-workers to sessions, monitoring co-worker progress through their time at the project, and helping to link them with opportunities outside Sydenham Garden.
Claudia plans and delivers therapeutic gardening sessions for co-workers at the garden and our allotment site De Frene. She supports co-workers to develop their skills by offering OCN training in horticulture and conservation. Claudia is also responsible for co-ordinating our network of volunteers.
Marie provides vital administrative support to the team, which helps us focus the organisation’s resources on providing quality programmes for our service users.
When the project began in 2003, Sydenham Garden was run exclusively by volunteers, local residents and a number of staff from Sydenham Green Health Centre.
Volunteers continue to play a vital role in delivering our services to the community today and are very much part of the team.
For example, Sarah Sikorski has successfully co-ordinated and led our Arts & Crafts sessions since 2003.
