On Sunday 3rd October, Felix Ovwighowara ran the London Marathon in 4 hours and 50 minutes, and has managed to raise over £1,000 in aid of Sydenham Garden.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, and of course to Felix, who chose to support us, ran like the wind and finished the marathon with a smile on his face. We are incredibly grateful and it has been so encouraging for the Sydenham Garden community to hear about Felix’s efforts.
And it’s not too late to donate to Felix’s fundraising page, to give him a post-marathon boost!
We have been supporting Felix’s mother-in-law, Sephlyn, in our Sow & Grow project since she was first diagnosed with dementia. Sephlyn’s family tell us that she has benefited greatly from our provision, and they want to support us to be able to offer more within the community.
“This is the least he feels he can do in support of the outstanding work and commitment that Sydenham Garden gives to the community. He see the benefits to Sephlyn and knows that many others will find it a source of strength and support.”
