Sydenham Garden is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Fundraiser for a period of six months to help us sustain, grow and diversify our income to enable us to continue to develop our therapeutic creative and horticultural work with people living with mental health issues and people living with dementia.
The Freelance Fundraiser will be expected to achieve the following outputs:
- Develop our fundraising systems and policies and provide strategic input to the Director and Board of Trustees for future resourcing of Sydenham Garden’s fundraising function, including drafting role specifications.
- Research, draft and submit 1-2 funding applications per month (6-12 in total) to increase multi-year core funding grants of over £20k per year.
- Draft and submit 2-3 grant applications per month (12-18 in total) for smaller one-off grants of up to £20k, working to a prepared list of funders.
To achieve the outputs, we anticipate a time commitment of on average approximately 2-2.5 days per week for a period of 6 months.
