Practical Organic Gardening Vocational Course

We are very excited about our new Practical Organic Gardening Open College Network vocational course, which will start in July.  Thanks to generous support from Lewisham Council’s NCIL fund, we are able to offer free one-year supported placements, for Lewisham residents who are keen to gain horticultural knowledge and a qualification, but have barriers to engaging with mainstream education and work environments.

Participants will deepen their knowledge and understanding of plants, soil and organic gardening techniques.  Students will learn in beautiful and peaceful surroundings and will help to maintain our kitchen garden, greenhouse, wildlife pond and nature reserve at Wynell Rd.

Places are filling up quickly.  To register interest, applicants can be referred via Lewisham Community Wellbeing. Please call them on 020 3228 0760 and ask for information on making a referral to the Sydenham Garden OCN course.  If you have any questions, please contact Rachael on: 07529 222 557 or
