Wellbeing Wanderers is a walking group aimed at improving physical and mental health. Groups will visit sites of historic, natural history and local interest, including parks, community gardens and woodlands. Co-walkers will be led through mindfulness activities and invited to respond through creative activities.

Charlotte Dove, Project lead, says;

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming participants to this new group. We will be exploring green spaces all around the borough including Beckenham Place Park, Horniman Museum and Gardens, the Water Linkway and Brookmill Park. We will be talking about interesting sights along the walks, including bird life, trees, wildlife and wildflowers, and giving walkers the confidence to return to these sites on their own or as part of small peer-led groups”

Wellbeing Wanderers is supported by the Walking and Cycling Grants London programme, funded by Transport for London in partnership with The London Marathon Charitable Trust.

Placements are for three months and groups meet every Monday. The next group will start in mid September and referrals are open now.
