Sow & Grow
Our standout project, Sow & Grow, provides over 40 people with dementia social and therapeutic activity each week. Underpinning horticulture, craft, arts and reminiscence with Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) (see: http://www.cstdementia.com/), the project has gained national recognition for the positive difference it makes.
Recently a daughter of one co-worker said: “Thank you for all your work with Mum over the past months. She has really benefitted from being part of the group, which in turn has benefitted the whole family (especially me!). She always returns from a session in a better frame of mind.”
Sow & Grow is currently short on support volunteers. If you could offer a few hours to support a session on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays please consider filling out an application form, which can be found here: https://www.sydenhamgarden.org.uk/supporting-us/volunteering/
Acceptance is subject to a satisfactory DBS and certain safeguarding procedures.
