The Winter Fair 2018 and no rain!

A beautiful, and dry, festive event

On Saturday 24th November our Winter Fair 2018 provided many delights. Despite heavy rains over night the event was dry! Our busy team pulled out all the stops this year, preparring for months in advance. More than 350 people came through the door and over £2,500 was raised to help support our future work. A fantastic and much-appreciated result!

Sow & Grow

A new focus at our events is the Sow & Grow area. Sow & Grow is a project helping people to live well with dementia. This year the Sow & Grow team put together a fabulous stall, as visually striking as they come and choc-full of goodies. These goodies included homemade cakes and hand crafted chocolates. The area included some information on Micky, our Pet Therapy dog and many of the Sow & Grow team members.

Other highlights were aplenty and included some crafty and outdoor activities, and a plant sale. There was also an array of stalls selling produce made and packaged in our sessions by our co-workers (beneficiaries). It would be amiss not to mention the huge and tasty selection of food that was available. From freshly made pancakes to premium hot dogs, gorgeous cakes and freshly brewed fair trade coffee.

Thank you and coming soon

A really big thank you to the remarkable team of volunteers who made the Winter Fair 2018 so special. All money raised from our events goes back into the charity which helps to support local people recovering from mental and physical ill health. The dates are already in for next years events. Check out our calendar and get them in your diary:
