Volunteering fun, fun for all ages!

Come along to our De Frene Road site for some volunteering fun, every third Saturday of the month 10:30 to 14:00

Each session has a theme. Previous themes have included orchard tree care, conservation and habitat development, or building infrastructure. The hope is that participants will be able to learn some handy skills while enjoying some volunteering fun.

Do you like volunteering but find a regular commitment hard to make? Then this is for you! You fancy volunteering with your family, friend, partner, or children? This is for you! Do you enjoy good food? Then this is also for you! A hearty Lunch will always be provided.

One recent participant commented on his experience:

“I was a little hesitant to commit a whole morning but really wanted to volunteer. There’s not much time in the week to spend with family. When I found out I could bring my children I jumped at the opportunity. They are aged 5 and 6. We learnt a little about wildflowers, and the benefits they can bring. We then helped plant wild flower plugs. The children and I loved it. It was memorable to work together and achieve something that others will benefit from. We also loved making pizzas together for lunch! Creating a cooking your own pizza in a wood fired oven really was the icing on the cake.”
