Over 150 visitors braved the cold weather and came along to our Winter Plant Sale on 3 December 2022. Thanks to their generosity we were able to raise over £2000 on the day!
Visitors were able to buy lovely plants (including Cyclamen); chutneys and jams; Christmas cards and decorations or take part in a Christmas themed craft activity. Honey harvested from our hives on our market garden site in De Frene Road proved a very popular purchase with over 60 jars sold. As always there was a range of delicious home baked cakes and biscuits for sale.
All proceeds raised will help us continue our work supporting local people who attend our projects in their recovery from mental and physical ill health.
Leading up to the sale, our projects were busy making lots of fantastic items to sell and with some left over, we’ve been able to set up a small pop-up shop in the lobby of the Resource Centre!
Many thanks to everyone who came along on the day and to our project teams and supporters who made or baked items for sale. Also thanks to the team of volunteers, including several co-workers, who helped on the day setting up and run stalls. Great work everyone!
