Jon Sherman
Treasurer and Interim Chair & Company Secretary
Jon is a Director in the Civil Service, with many years’ experience in senior leadership and policy roles. Jon has lived in Sydenham with his family for over 20 years.
Kehinde Adeogun
Vice Chair
Kehinde has lived locally for over 35 years. She has been involved as a trustee for a number of Black and LGBT+ charities in the past and is currently employed part time as a solicitor for a trade union.
Laura Reynolds
Vice Chair
Laura has worked in Youth and Community work for over 15 years, running programmes in Waterloo for young people, adults and older people. She has experience working with the community across a range of themes including art, heritage, and gardening. She lives locally with her family.
Chris Edwards
Trustee
Chris is a local Sydenham resident with a background in fundraising, strategy and charity governance. He currently works for one of London’s major charitable funders in the Strategy & Governance function. A keen gardener, he is passionate about the benefits of access to nature for physical and mental health and supports the charity as a member of the Finance & Governance Sub-Committee.
Gill Fewins
Trustee
Gill is a local resident who is passionate about mental health and social equity. Her expertise is in fundraising, data insights, community engagement and social psychology. She has experience working in the charity sector, and currently leads partnership development in GovTech, working with public data insights and community consultation across all sectors.
Jullen Gordon
Trustee
Jullen has been a local resident for many decades and is a former co-worker and current volunteer at the Garden. Having had a varied career, she has been a manager working for people with disabilities to access funding and work opportunities over recent years. She is also a very keen gardener.
Laura Saksena
Trustee
Laura has worked in the charity sector since 2012. She is currently CEO at Healthwatch Islington and has held a range of strategic and operational leadership roles across health and care services. Laura has a strong interest in the link between physical and mental health and the positive impact of engagement with the natural world on individual wellbeing.
Reece St Omer
Trustee
Reece is an EDI leader specialising in organisational culture change, health & workforce inequalities, and inclusive leadership. Currently serving as Head of EDI within the NHS, he leads system-wide programmes focused on embedding equity into policy, governance & workforce strategy. Alongside his NHS role, he serves as Co-Head of EDI for Pride in London.
Anne Sykes
Trustee
Anne is a retired GP who has worked in Forest Hill for 25 years.
