Over the years Sydenham Garden has welcomed many teams from companies both large and small to undertake projects at both the Resource Centre & Nature Reserve as well as our nearby Market Garden in De Frene Road. Opportunities for business teams to work with us come up throughout the year and projects are planned to be completed in a day bearing in mind the size of the team available.
Projects successfully completed to date include:
Garden maintenance
Site clearance
Painting
Construction of footpaths
Construction of timber shelters for outdoor work areas
Construction of raised planter beds including the installation of an irrigation system
Members of your Team need no specific experience to take part, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved, as all activities are fully supervised by Sydenham Garden staff. We will provide all tools and equipment needed for the day.
For your peace of mind, Sydenham Garden holds insurance cover for such work and the work undertaken by corporate teams is fully risk assessed by us.
Our Practical Team Building Days usually follow this timetable (but we’re very happy to hear from you if your team only has say half a day available to work with us)
- 9:30 Welcome to Sydenham Garden & introduction to our project, Tea & coffee
- 10:00 Health & Safety briefing
- 10:15 Practical activity

We can accommodate teams up to 25 to work on our Market Garden site and 10 at the Resource Centre & Nature Reserve.
Your team could enable us to tackle much needed projects which may not be practical for groups of our co-workers (the name we give our primary beneficiaries). Practical Team Building Days also provide us the opportunity to highlight the work we do and develop ongoing relationships with businesses, both large and small.
Not only does Sydenham Garden benefit, your company / team will as well from:
