A project for Lewisham-borough-based 18–25-year-olds wanting to commune with the natural world. We work with the plants, soil, humans, and non-humans around us to find community and wellbeing in the city. We cover things like : plant propagation, food growing, ceramics, land art, cyanotypes, foraging, soil ecology, flower arranging, and cooking – all co-designed amongst the group. We also do offsite trips and collaborate with institutes like TATE and Garden Museum.
Based at our beautiful De Frene Market garden, we offer two sessions on Wednesdays : an afternoon of 2.5 hours and an evening edition of 2 hours. Participants can stay with us until their schedules change (or they reach the age of 26). We are gardeners and makers of all levels, so, join us !
