Many thanks to the team from Deutsche Bank who joined us on our De Frene Market Garden back in May for a corporate teambuilding day.
The team took on a number of much needed maintenance tasks around the site including:
- Repairing raised timber beds.
- Preparing annual beds.
- Resurfacing paths around the site.
- Digging clay (which was used for building a new earth oven).
The work carried out is a huge benefit to the site and our Growing Lives project sessions. Given the extent of the works we wouldn’t have been able to tackle such jobs in our project sessions.
Thanks also goes to Community Southwark who arranged for the team to join us and take on the tasks. Community Southwark have supported Sydenham Garden over several years, arranging numerous corporate teams to work at either at our De Frene Market Garden site or at the Resource Centre as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
