Many thanks to the team from Deutsche Bank who joined us on our De Frene Market Garden at the end of July for a corporate teambuilding day.
The team took on some much needed maintenance around the site including:
- Resurfacing paths.
- Repairing raised timber beds.
- Digging over our annual beds.
- General gardening tasks around the site.
The work carried out is a huge benefit to the site and our Growing Lives project sessions. Given the extent of the works we wouldn’t have been able to tackle all these tasks in one day during our project sessions.
Thanks also goes to Community Southwark who arranged for the team to join us and take on the tasks. Community Southwark have supported Sydenham Garden over several years, arranging numerous corporate teams to work at either at our De Frene Market Garden site or at the Resource Centre as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
