Many thanks to the team from Deutsche Bank who joined us on our De Frene Market Garden site at the end of September for a corporate team building day.
The team did a fantastic job taking on some big tasks around the site including:
- Clearing a large area of that had become overgrown with brambles etc and constructing a new dead hedge to dispose of the cutting etc.
- Constructing a new timber platform to be used as our new woodstore.
The team even had time to make a start on a new fence around our pond.
The work carried out is a huge benefit to the site and our Growing Lives project sessions. Given the extent of the works we wouldn’t have been able to tackle such large tasks during our project sessions.
Thanks also goes to Community Southwark who arranged for the team from Deutsche Bank to join us. Community Southwark have supported Sydenham Garden over several years, arranging numerous corporate teams to work at either at our De Frene Market Garden site or at the Resource Centre as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
